The “Going Out in Sydney App” has been purpose built for a study being run by the National Drug and Alcohol Research Centre (NDARC) at the University Of New South Wales (UNSW).

The app has been developed to enable participants in the study to log over a three month period all visits to music festivals and licensed entertainment precincts that occur in Sydney, NSW. Specifically participants are asked to do a 5 minute log about each visit to note: 1) where they went (e.g. pub or festival), 2) whether they used alcohol or drugs; and 3) whether they encountered any police. Participants can re-visit the data that they enter using this app at the final interview stage of this study. Information entered into this app is strictly anonymous. Please see the privacy statement for more information.
